IBHI provides risk mitigation services to both behavioral health
providers and organizations which have responsibility for provider
oversight. It would be rare that we would provide such services to
both type of clients in the same region.
The IBHI risk mitigation team reviews medical records to assess
a behavioral health provider's:

In addition to reviewing core areas of the medical record, IBHI

IBHI provides two levels of technical assistance.
Level 1: We help our clients to
develop a corrective action plan which is based on the findings of

follow-up audits to verify that implementation of the corrective
action plan has resulted in measurable improvements.

develop a corrective action plan and we take the lead in assisting
our clients to implement their corrective action plan. At
pre-arranged times, we conduct additional audits to verify that
implementation of the corrective action plan has resulted in
In combination with either level of technical assistance, IHBI
can provide training that is designed to educate staff regarding
their state's clinical documentation requirements. Additional,
customized trainings can be provided to help clinicians develop
specific skills related to documenting their assessments, treatment
plans, and progress notes.
IBHI also provides annual compliance trainings in the areas
- HIPAA Privacy and Security
